Thomas de Boer (30) is a Rotterdam-based filmmaker and visual artist working across directing, director of photography, and creative direction. His practice spans cinematic projects, campaign films, and artistic collaborations, moving fluidly between commissioned work and independent visual research.

Blending strong visual intuition with a cinematic approach, Thomas creates work that plays with images and form, often exploring ideas that lean toward the unconventional or daring. His projects combine narrative, abstraction, and documentary elements, resulting in films that feel immersive, textural, and emotionally driven.

He provided his creative direction, cinematography, and editorial vision to a range of projects, including brand campaigns, promotional films, and exhibition-related works for cultural institutions and creative partners. His work is rooted in close collaboration, a sensitivity to atmosphere, and a constant curiosity for how images can be pushed beyond the expected.

With a foundation in both artistic research and applied visual production, he continues to expand his visual language, developing work that challenges conventions while remaining visually precise and intentional.
